de-VICE #1

We here at de-VICE in Tokyo recently stumbled across a veritable treasure trove of new CDs on display in a book shop in uptown Jiyugaoka. The enigmatic label behind the CDs calls itself PowerShovel, and we asked the guys behind it to get us their very best propaganda spiel. Here it is, in all its glory. All aspiring artists out there - get off your arses and contact them!

PowerShovelBooks Please visit
www.powershovelbooks.com for more info on PSB.

PowerShovel Ltd, does something to do with photography. As you might know, we sell toy cameras in many book stores [in Japan]. We organise photography events. All of our activities are connected to photography in some ways.

PowerShovelAudio started up about a year ago. "The musician has to take pictures by themselves for their CDs' art work". This is the only
concept of our label.

PowerShovelAudio release "any kinds" of music in a real meaning. Our
releases should not be devoted to specific person's music taste, even if he is a kind of person who listen to any kind of music. So anybody can join our label. If someone has a favorite record, he/she can bring it to us. When some of us (PowerShovel staff) like the music or musician, he is responsible for the music and the musician for the future release. We would do what we can do to support him as much as possible.

Of course, demo tapes are very welcome.

PSA simply would like to release "good music". "Good Music" could be in
any form, we believe. We dont want our label to be some specific
members' label with limited colors and tastes.

This is pretty much all about PowerShovelAudio.

At the moment there are 4 core members in the label, including me. We are waiting and looking forward for some new people who have different music tastes from us.

Please have a look at our web site
www.powershovelaudio.com

We are now working on a new web site, as it seems many people started to be curious about us.

Thank you again for having interest in our label. We hope our future releases will be able to entertain you!

Thank you.
